WHAT'S ON

Piano Recital with Piers Lane

This programme is all about connections: Chopin idolised Bach, who in turn inspired the Russians. The first-half pieces are without exception probing and moving and mirror the forms used in Tchaikovsky’s rarely heard work. Stravinsky’s colourful Petrouchka movements bring the recital to a dazzling climax.
