DigiVol - Workshops

Putting The Mallee on the Map

You can help put Eileen Ramsay's plant collection online
Throughout The Mallee on the Map, Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria will run its first DigiVol expedition to transcribe Eileen Ramsay’s plant collection, making vital data available for science and conservation research.
You are invited to join the global community of volunteers putting the world’s natural history collections online and help transcribe the handwritten collecting information on Eileen’s specimens. Once transcribed, the collecting information will be uploaded into the Australasian Virtual Herbarium, where it can be accessed by researchers across the globe.
Join staff from the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria for a hands-on Putting the Mallee on the Map
workshop and help fulfil Eileen Ramsay’s wish to put the Mallee on the map:
Session 1: Sunday 11 April, 10 am – 12 pm
Session 2: Sunday 11 April,    2 – 4 pm
Session 3: Monday 12 April,   9 – 11 am
