The Brothers Bach
Mildura Arts Centre presents
The Brothers Bach
Melbourne Chamber Orchestra
Imagine, for a second, that Johann Sebastian Bach was your father. Imagine a childhood filled with the greatest music of the Baroque, surrounded by your hyper-musical siblings and being immersively mentored by one of Western music’s true geniuses.
William Hennessy has curated an exquisite concert from the music of three of JS Bach’s sons: his eldest, wild-child Wilhelm Friedemann; his most famous, Carl Philipp Emanuel; and his youngest, Johann Christian. Each in their own way forged extraordinary musical paths into the Classical period.
Lauded for her ‘fearless performance’ by the New York Times, pianist Aura Go returns to MCO for performances of concerti by CPE and JC Bach.
