Abloom
Inspired by the beauty and the calm of the familiar, Abloom explores personal connections to the Mallee through objects that elicit memories that are precious in each piece. Rhian captures and celebrates the gifts Sunraysia has on offer and is resoundingly known for, from locally produced gin and wine to citrus and pottery by artisans.  

Immersed amongst these objects are the playful bird life that feature around her home by the banks of the Murray River and an exploration of our native flora and foliage. Abloom seeks to capture beauty and tranquility in each piece through the subtle complexities of colour and tone, layers of ink and pen mark making.

About the Artist 
Rhian is an artist who works primarily with inks. Inspired by nature with a focus on Australian birds and plant life, she creates works that comprise of delicate and gentle imagery juxtaposed with vivid colour to invoke a playful atmosphere.
