Murray River works: Bonita Ely

Mildura Arts Centre Collection

Mildura-born, Sydney-based artist Bonita Ely is widely regarded for her trailblazing art practice that engages feminist critique and environmental commentary.

Since the 1970s, Ely has been addressing ecological and socio-political themes in the Australian context, through sculpture, installation, and performance.

This body of work sourced from the Mildura Arts Centre Collection, focuses on Ely's works about the Murray River: the longest river in Australia’s largest water catchment system.
