Life and Place

Mandy Collins and John Turner

Mandy Collins and John Turner’s work primarily stems from places that hold significant meaning to them—places where they have lived, worked, and been integral parts of the communities.

Both are drawn to landscapes that possess natural power and a unique beauty.
Their travels become even more meaningful as they create art in the regions they explore, fully immersing themselves in the landscapes and closely observing the local wildlife.

Both artists use a variety of mediums to create their works, adapting to different environments and challenges.
Working directly on-site from their subjects is a vital aspect of their artistic process, providing both inspiration and motivation.
Their deep connection to the places they portray is evident in their work.

Exhibition opening: 5.30pm, Friday 30 May
